The Sciences Po Health Chair, Sciences Po Law School and the Law and Health Institute of Paris University invite you to a panel discussion on the question "Is access to medicines a right?">.

These conferences will take the form of a series of questions to which speakers from various fields of expertise and countries will be invited to provide elements of response. Through concrete examples, fueled in particular by the COVID-19 pandemic, academics, civil servants, civil society actors, industrial actors and public decision-makers will be invited to present their thoughts and to dialogue with students from Sciences Po and the Law and Health Institute as well as with a wider audience around the major issue of access to medicines.

The four questions raised by this series of panel discussions will be:

  • "Should we question our current model for encouraging innovation in the pharmaceutical sector?" (March 2022, in English)

  • "How can we ensure our health independence in terms of access to medicines?" (April 2022, in French)

  • "What would be the impact of a greater transparency of certain activities of the pharmaceutical industry on access to medicines?" (May 2022, in French)
