Ivana Isailovic, with Serbian and French nationalities, is preparing a thesis on extraterritoriality under direction of Professor Horatia Muir Watt.

A graduate of the Master 1 in International Law from the Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, she has also earned a Master 2 in International Economic Governance jointly organized by Columbia University and the Université Paris 1, where she was first in class.

Her Master thesis “The Annulment of Investment Awards” was written under direction of Professor Hervé Ascensio.

She interned at a non-governmental organization in Belgrade (Serbia) involved in human rights and collaborated with a law firm to present a dossier to the International Criminal Court for Ex-Yugoslavia.

She was also a teaching assistant for the course “Conflict of Laws and Cross Border Litigation” during her Master’s studies in Economic Law at Sciences Po Paris, as well as head of a project at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne. During the spring semester of 2011, she taught the introductory course of International Economic Law at the Collège Universitaire of Sciences Po Paris.

Ivana is currently a graduate research trainee at MgGill University working under direction of Professor Geneviève Saumier. She is affiliated with the center Human Rights and Legal Pluralism at McGill University and is participating in McGill’s team preparation for the mock trial competition in international law Charles – Rousseau.
