Aseeva, Anna

Dr. Anna Aseeva is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law, Higher School of Economics-Moscow. In February 2012 Anna has started her PhD at the Sciences Po Law School that she successfully defended in February 2016. She also holds a Master in European Law and Institutions from the University of Geneva; a Degree in International Relations from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva; and degrees in Arts and in Law from the Russian Federation.

Anna held visiting research and teaching appointments at Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, D.C.; HEC Paris; Global Studies Institute (GSI), the University of Geneva; the Centre of Excellence for International Courts (iCourts), the University of Copenhagen; and Lille Catholic University.

Anna widely publishes in the fields of European and international economic law, environmental law and sustainability, transnational law and socio-legal studies. Her first monograph, From Corporate Social Responsibility to Corporate Social Liability. A Socio-Legal Study of Corporate Liability in Global Value Chains is on contract with Oxford: Hart Publishing.

Anna’s current endeavours of research and teaching are focused on the development of a new field of academic study: sustainability law. Her detailed case studies at present delve into specific topics of enhanced corporate liability, as well as sustainability in global and regional economic law and governance.
