Mirko WIEDERHOLT is Professor of Economics at Sciences Po since 2018.

He is also Research Fellow at the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) for two programme areas: Monetary Economics and Fluctuations and International Macroeconomics and Finance.

Before joining Sciences Po, Mirko Wiederholt was Professor of Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt. Prior to that, he was Assistant Professor of Economics at Northwestern University from 2006 to 2012 and at Humboldt University Berlin from 2002 to 2006.

His main research interests are in macroeconomics, monetary economics, and information economics. He studies business cycles, monetary policy, and how agents process information and form beliefs about the future. He has published his research in the American Economic Review, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, and Journal of Economic Theory.
