DEPARTMENTAL Seminar: Isabelle MÉJEAN (École Polytechnique)

Isabelle MÉJEAN is a Professor of Economics at the École Polytechnique. She is also a CEPR Research Fellow (International Macroeconomics, International Trade and Regional Economics). She is Co-Editor of the European Economic Review and since September 2017, she is a member of the group of experts on the minimum wage. Prior to joining Polytechnique in 2007, she held appointments at the Centre d'Études Prospectives et d'Informations Internationales (CEPII) as well as in the research department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). She earned her Ph.D. at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in 2006.

Her research interests span international macroeconomics and international trade. Her work has been regularly published in top peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of International Economics, the Journal of Urban Economics, Econometrica and the American Economic Journal: Macroeconomics. She was awarded an ERC Starting grant in 2017 for her ongoing project 'Firm-to-Firm Trade Networks' (TRADENET).
