Robert Kluijver was born in Nicosia, Cyprus, in 1968. He obtained a master’s degree in International Relations at the University of Amsterdam in 1995, and another at Sciences Po Paris in 1999. He has worked in conflict zones from 1997 (Tajikistan) to 2018 (Somalia), roughly three years in Central Asia, seven in Afghanistan, seven in the Middle East and five in the Horn of Africa. He has a double specialisation in institutional/state and cultural/artistic development. From 2010 to 2016 he lectured two courses at the Paris School of International.
