An exciting opportunity is now open to any new delegates that wish to be part of a Mini-MUN conference here on our Parisian Sciences Po campus! 

Come and join us Saturday April 20th from 9am to 6pm to debate the following topic: The Identification and Prevention of Modern Slavery. You will have a few hours to represent a nation’s perspective and debate with others to find the best resolution that would be voted on. Whether you wish to join us as you appreciate the small group to launch yourself as a first time delegate or you wish to continue to develop your competitive attitude after the accumulated years of experience; this open and stimulating conference is a great opportunity to learn more about international relations and the United Nations. 

Feel free to join us in our weekly Thursday trainings to learn more about what MUN is and to best prepare yourself for a fun debate!

The grand JDI negotiation masterclass is taking place this month! Join us on Saturday April 20th, from 12:30 to 6:00 pm (in Room A21, 27 Rue Saint Guillaume), and it will be a joint event with the Young Diplomat organization, instructed by the founder and director himself! We have the privilege of hosting Hans van den Berg, an experienced trainer who bridges the gap between theory and practice in the field of negotiation. He trained Israeli and Palestinian Young Professionals in how to conduct a constructive dialogue, developed seminars and skills training on negotiation for various universities and organises an annual summer school and winter seminar on international negotiation for young professionals from all over the world.

For you to know more about him, he is currently working at the Center for International Legal Cooperation (CILC) where he works on projects on strengthening the rule of law, countering terrorism and diplomacy in Eastern Europe, the Balkans, Middle East and North Africa. As Founder and Director of the Young Diplomat he teaches on (international) negotiation and diplomacy, specifically Eastern Europe and its relation with Russia at Oxford University, Leiden University, the Armenian Diplomatic Academy, the College of Europe, and other diplomatic academies and institutions. He has specialized in negotiating between private and public institutions, the strategic and non-verbal aspects of negotiation. Previously, Hans was chairman of the University Council and lecturer at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Hans draws on a lot of experience, so that he can always provide a relevant anecdote. Simulations are an essential part of his training with the aim of applying, practicing and developing skills.
