Le nouveau cadre pour valider votre semestre de printemps/The new validation framework for your spring semester
Bien cordialement Bénédicte Durand Directrice de la formation ################################################################################### Dear Students, In the context of academic continuity that has been instated since 23 March, you will find here the elements of the new validation framework, which will be applied to the study programmes for the spring semester 2020. It takes into account both the global crisis we are experiencing as well as the need to maintain the level of excellence indispensable to the quality of our diploma.
Three principles have been put forward: 1 – A principle of continuity will be applied:
2 – A principle of compensation will be applied:
For these two categories of classes, the principle of compensation amounts to:
The principle of compensation will also apply to internships according to the following methods: For final Master‘s internships that have not been able to be completed will be validated if the duration of the internship is equal to or more than eight weeks. For shorter internships, recourse to an earlier internship, completed during a gap year, will be possible, as well as other instances, which will be communicated to you by your academic teams.
3 - The principle of adaptation will be applied:
Please note that the validation of language course credits does not imply an automatic change of level. Professors will indicate any possible change of level according to the language charters and/or may also proppose language-level tests. In addition, language courses will be restarted for Master’s students, from 6 April onwards. The teachers will contact students from Monday, 30 March in order to prepare for classes to resume.
Finally, in order to balance out the workload during this unprecedented period, alongside the consolidation of the curriculum, the period from 28 April to 17 May will be reserved, as needed, for the submission of all student work. Regarding the end-of-year juries, please be assured that a principle of benevolence will be adopted for in particular any specific situations, which we invite you to express to your academic teams as soon as possible. And during confinemnt, the library stays by your side!
