The Mastercard Foundation, partnered with Sciences Po, provides full scholarships to students from Sub-Saharan Africa who have great academic potential but limited financial resources. Over six years (from 2017 to 2023), this programme will support a total of 126 students admitted to its undergraduate, graduate and summer programmes. This exceptional scholarship programme aims to recruit talented students who aspire to shape the future of the African continent and help them develop their full potential.

At Sciences Po, we firmly believe that financial barriers should not get in the way of education. That is why each year we dedicate 10.5 million euros in scholarships and financial aid. Thanks to this proactive social policy, every year we help 4 in 10 students (figures from 2017-2018).

- Licinia Güttel is the first recipient of the Stephen M. Kellen scholarship
Licinia Güttel, 19, was born and raised near the small town of Koblenz, Germany. After graduating with honours from Werner Heisenberg Gymnasium Neuwied, she enrolled to study for the Sciences Po-Freie Universität Berlin dual Bachelor’s degree in political and social sciences. She is also the first recipient of the Stephen M. Kellen scholarship, a dedicated scholarship for students on the Sciences Po-Freie Universität Berlin dual BA programme.

The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) of the Philippines has signed an agreement with Sciences Po to finance at least ten full scholarships for Filipino students admitted to Sciences Po at graduate level. Each scholarship covers tuition fees, living expenses, health insurance, the visa application and a return airfare ticket. In addition, Sciences Po will help subsidise scholarship students’ tuition fees.

The Kuwait Scholarship Programme (KSP) Excellence Scholarship supports outstanding students admitted to Sciences Po and enrolled in a programme at Master’s level.
