Princeton Senior Eric Falcon Announced as 2015 Michel David-Weill Scholarship Laureate

Eric Falcon is the winner of the 2015 Michel David-Weill Scholarship. Eric will graduate from the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University in May and will pursue a master's degree in European Affairs at Sciences Po beginning September 2015.

The Michel David-Weill Selection Committee was very impressed with Eric during his interview, which took place at the US Sciences Po Foundation in New York. The committee members particularly appreciated his great leadership potential.

When asked about his plan to pursue his graduate studies at Sciences Po, Eric said:  "I am so grateful for the opportunity to return to France to continue my studies of the European Union at Sciences Po, thanks to the Michel David-Weill Scholarship. This experience will undoubtedly be an excellent starting point for what I hope to be a career serving on both sides of the Atlantic in the interest of improving and strengthening US-EU political, economic, and strategic relations. What excites me most about the Master in European Affairs program at Sciences Po is that it brings together students and faculty from all across the EU to Paris. I look forward to learning from their diverse perspectives and their extensive, first-hand expertise in European politics".

The Michel David-Weill Scholarship is awarded each year to one American student who exemplifies the core values embodied by Michel David-Weill: academic excellence, leadership, multiculturalism, tolerance and high achievement. Candidates are selected on the basis of their literary and scholastic achievements, capacity for critical analysis, demonstrated history of leadership, and a proven commitment to community. The scholarship in the amount of $80,000 covers all tuition, living and traveling expenses of the recipient over a two-year period during which he or she pursues a master's degree program at Sciences Po.
