Victoria prize

The Victoria Prize, funded by Cabanettes in 2015, aims to help students fund their third year abroad. Students must be enrolled on Sciences Po’s undergraduate studies programme (all campuses), and be a CROUS scholarship holder level.

The prize aims to provide students, especially those participating to our Equality Opportunity Programme, with financial help during their study year abroad.

Two Prizes will be awarded in 2024.

What is the Victoria Prize?

The Victoria Prize supports the ambition of scholarship recipients from the Bachelor’s programme. It aims to concretely facilitate the removal of financial barriers and self-censorship that may limit the choice of distant and more expensive universities. Ultimately, the Prize's impact will be to create a community of committed laureates engaged with high schools, open to international experiences, and ready to face the challenges of otherness and adaptability within a framework of solidarity.

Selection criteria

Victoria Prize amounting to 4500 € per prize winner. Several criteria are taken into account for the selection of applicants:

  • Confirmation of acceptance of the candidate by the host university for the academic year 2024-2025;
  • Choice of destination for the 3rd year abroad and cost of living which is higher than in Europe (USA, Asia …);
  • The student’s academic and personal study plan;
  • Academic results for the 1st year of study at Sciences Po;
  • CROUS scholarship.

The Victoria Prize is awarded based on a portfolio highlighting coherence between the choice of university/country and a personal project. If the student is not accepted by the university/country, the Prize cannot be confirmed, except in exceptional cases.

Applications are not possible for students of dual degree programmes.

This application does not replace an international student mobility application or Erasmus+ application. Students will also need to apply separately for student mobility applications for destinations outside of Europe or/and Erasmus+ application for destinations in Europe.
