The James S. Riepe Professor and founding Executive Director of the Alliance for Higher Education and Democracy, Laura Perna (University of Pennsylvania) is visiting Sciences Po OSC/LIEPP from 5 to 10 October 2015 and will present the results of her research on higher education.
Her presentation discusses the roles and responsibilities of higher education researchers in producing knowledge that informs policy and practice about “inequality and higher education," and the mechanisms that higher education researchers have available to promote the connections between research and policy/practice. Her work includes examples from recent experiences in trying to promote these connections. Following the presentation, her results will be discussed by Pauline Ravinet (CERAPS, University Lille 2).
