Mapcompete Workshop on « Non-price competitiveness »

This workshop will take place on February 27th and is part of the Mapping European Competitiveness (MAPCOMPETE), a FP7 project led by six European research centres to provide an assessment of data opportunities and requirements for the analysis of comparative competitiveness in European countries.

The workshop is co-organized with the Paris School of Economics and Banque de France

Location: Room Goguel - 56, rue des Saint Pères 75007 Paris

Date: February 27th, from 10:00 to 18:00

The workshop will in particular deal with the issues of non-price competitiveness indicators and data collection.

If you would like to participate to the workshop please contact Maria Bas (maria.bas@sciencespo.fr). The number of participants is limited.

Claude Erignac Prize awarded to Younes BOUAZIZ and Alexandre LOURIE

The Department of Economics is delighted to announce that one of the two 2014 Claude Erignac Prizes was awarded to Younes BOUAZIZ, student enrolled in the Master Economics and Business and to Alexandre LOURIE, Master student in the Dual Degree, Sciences Po - HEC, in Corporate and Public Management .

The Claude Erignac Prize is awarded to graduates of Sciences Po's Collège and who have distinguished themeselves all along the course of their studies by their exemplary committment to public life - whether it be through academic or associative projects. Awarded by an independent jury composed of members of the Claude Erignac Association and representatives of the IEP de Paris, the Prize is destined to both encourage and help the award winners in the pursuit of their social and civic undertakings.

Younes Bouaziz will receive a grant that will allow him to research a study on how French development aid impacts the private sector in the Arab world.

Alexander LOURIE will receive a grant that will allow him to promote the French Social Entrepreneurship ideas through a book.
