Bernard Salanié is a Professor of Economics at Columbia University. His research fields are contract theory, insurance economics, labor economics, public economics, and theoretical and applied econometrics. He is an associate editor of the Annales d'Economie et de Statistique, Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research and Research Fellow of IZA and CESifo.
He has recently published L'économie sans tabou, Paris, Edition Poche-Le Pommier, 2011. His publication Institutions et emploi: les femmes et le marché du travail en France (with Guy Laroque) has been honored by the Academy of Moral and Political Sciences in 2004. He is the author of several manuals, of which the most recent is Théorie des contrats (second ed., Economica 2011) and “The Economics of Taxation” (second ed., MIT Press 2011).
