LIEPP researchers have a column in Les Echos. This week, Nicolas Duvoux gives insights into the upcoming creation of a « prime d'activité », announced by the Council of Ministers in November. Intended for low-income workers, the « prime d'activité » will replace the present "PPE" (tax credit) and "RSA" (social security benefits).

Bruno Palier, co-directeur du LIEPP, signait en novembre 2014 un ouvrage de contribution au débat public, avec Bernard Gazier (Université Paris-1) et Hélène Périvier (OFCE). Prenant acte des limites du système, l'ouvrage propose une nouvelle architecture pour la protection sociale en France.

LIEPP researchers have a column in Les Echos. This week, Clément Carbonnier, Bruno Palier and Michaël Zemmour present the conclusions of their study on the French employment strategy based on tax cuts. According to them, the amounts dedicated to these expensive policies which efficiency is only limited would be better used to directly finance jobs that meet a social need. This alternative strategy would create at least as much jobs.
Clément Carbonnier, co-directeur of the "socio-fiscal policy research group" at LIEPP, was auditioned on October 2nd 2014, by MPs Matine Pinville et Bérengère Poletti, draftswomen for the mission of evaluation of the development of personal services, at Assemblée Nationale, "Commission des affaires sociales".
