Sciences Po has set itself the goal of becoming one of the top world social sciences and humanities universities by 2013, while at the same time strengthening its policy of social diversity. To achieve this ambition, it needs to obtain the support of a growing number of partners – public institutions, companies and individuals – in France and elsewhere.
Since 1945, the State has provided the bulk of Sciences Po's funding, but today its annual contribution covers only half of our budget. This public grant, which guarantees Sciences Po's independence with respect to its teaching and research activities and allows it to fulfil its public service mission to the best of its ability, is no longer sufficient to fund its ambitious development plans.
This is why Sciences Po actively seeks to implement a specific partnership policy aimed at public institutions, in France and elsewhere in the world, by developing concrete projects defined on the basis of shared strategic interests.
