In 2011, the Executive Education department at Sciences Po in partnership with the School of Communication launched a new Executive masters in communications with the aim of training professionals in the communication field to deal with the new issues facing the sector.
The first year of this new Executive masters has just begun and is a resounding success with the professionals. The entire teaching staff welcomed the new students on their first day in September as they began their part-time diploma course. This year’s class is made up of 29 professionals from diverse sectors and organisations and from both the public and private sectors. This « pioneering » class reflects the level of diversity in the recruitment policy, which the participants find beneficial and a source of emulation.
This diverse group of participants requires in-depth specific teaching, guaranteed by the dedicated teaching staff; Frédérique Aït Touati, Scientific Director of the Ecole de la Communication de Sciences Po will teach a module on the Social Science of communication, Olivier Disle and André de Marco, both lecturers at Sciences Po, will teach a class on business strategy and communication strategy and on the fundamentals of communication.
The full course covers 37 days of teaching over two years. The Executive Masters in Communication proposes innovative and original teaching methods that combine lectures from academic experts from Sciences Po, the use of numerous case studies, practical workshops and seminars on the basics that combine contributions from professionals, concepts and tools.
