The 2011 annual Sciences Po Alumni UK gala was held on 6 October at the prestigious Stationers’ Hall, London.
The large dinner for London-based alumni brought together nearly 180 people and honoured Véronique Morali, President of the Women’s forum, founder of terrafemina, Vice-President of the Fitch group and President of Fimalac Development.
Over the course of the evening, four Sciences Po students were awarded a scholarship financed by the UK alumni through the Sciences Po Alumni UK Charity Trust:
- Jamie Stevenson received the Assia de Juniac excellence scholarship worth 15000£ for the second year of the Sciences Po/LSE dual Master.
- Sebastian Kraus was awarded the Roger Seydoux excellence scholarship of 8000£ for the second year of his Sciences Po/LSE dual Master
- Sebastian Pradella was awarded the OXPO scholarship of 10000£ for his post-doctorat at Oxford University
- Osutaro Kili received a Collège Universitaire excellence scholarship of 24000£ over 3 years
This event, financed largely by major donors such as Charles de Croisset, Amber Capital, International SOS and Houlihan Lokey, is part of the “Sciences Po 2013” development campaign, which has been particularly successful across the Channel. Altogether, the alumni of Great Britain have donated 2 million euros to this campaign, a huge contribution to the international influence of their alma mater.
