Sciences Po has two major advantages in the field of Research publications:
1 - A top-flight academic and research community, firmly integrated into the international academic arena, and working primarily in research centres and departments enjoying substantial dissemination and development resources – on a scale that is exceptional in comparison with the activity of French universities generally.
It has also established dynamic and efficient publishing strategies (notably through international partnerships with US/UK university publishing outlets, such as Palgrave, Columbia University Press, Hurst, etc.).
Today, Sciences Po researchers are publishing an increasing number of articles in international academic journals and their books are often translated and published in foreign countries.
2 - Science Po's university press, the Presses de Sciences Po, publishes close to 40 new works every year.
The Presses de Sciences Po has a triple role: to publish original research, edit reference works for student use, and contribute to public and political debate.
It also publishes 10 academic journals. The Presses de Sciences Po publishes works in the areas of politics, globalization and governance, sustainable development, trends in political life, change and development in society and 20th century history. Its catalogue contains 1,200 titles.
Moreover, the Open Archives - Sciences Po Institutional Repository (SPIRE) - provides access to the research output of the Sciences Po academic community.
