Sciences Po is hiring permanent faculty and adjunct lecturers.

Permanent faculty

Sciences Po, an institution of higher education and research in the human and social sciences, is actively recruiting professors and researchers of international calibre.

All vacant positions are advertised internationally and selected candidates are invited to deliver a public lecture, open to the entire Sciences Po academic community, in which they highlight their suitability for the position.

These public lectures, which compliment the formal interview process before the selection committee, guarantee a higher level of visibility and transparency in the hiring procedure and promote cross-disciplinary discussion of the candidates’ work.

The selection committee interviews candidates for both public and private positions.

The selection committee is made up of internal and external members coming from disciplines directly related to the position, as well as fields with only an indirect connection, in order to provide a balanced perspective on the merits of each candidate.

Lists of currently advertised positions and selection committee members, as well as a schedule of public lectures, are available: see the currently advertised permanent teaching and research positions.

Adjunct lecturers

The hiring procedure for adjunct lecturers is governed by Decree 87-889 of October 29, 1987 relating to the conditions of recruitment and employment of part-time faculty in higher education.

To apply to teach at Sciences Po as an adjunct lecturer, please send the following documents to accueil.enseignant@sciences-po.fr:
