Every year, Sciences Po invites some 80 foreign professors and well-known specialists to teach for a period lasting from several weeks to one semester. These visiting faculty members are all experts in their particular domain and enjoy international recognition.

The recruitment policy is centred around two main objectives:

Creating intellectual synergies:

• enhancing cooperation with Science’s Po regular teaching body
• stimulating research and co-production of research work.

Promoting specific teaching programmes:

• reinforcing the specific nature of a course
• complementing teaching by broadening or narrowing the field of enquiry.
