The Sciences Po teaching community (3,200 people) is made up of university professors, researchers, lecturers and recognized practitioners from major public and private organizations.

This diversity is a key element in the modernity of Sciences Po’s educational objectives. Its principal goal to is provide educational programmes that are extremely comprehensive both on the theoretical and the practical level, with the aim of giving students a range of unique skills. Each of these teachers has achieved a high level of intellectual and professional command in their particular discipline:

  • Teachers and researchers, who transmit a body of knowledge based on theoretical underpinnings, concepts, methods and published work recognized by their peers.
  • Active and distinguished practitioners who transmit professional practices confirmed by their positions in major organizations (judicial institutions, corporations, NGOs, government ministries, large government administrations, international organizations, etc.).

This diversity guarantees an education that goes beyond a narrowly doctrinal approach and creates intellectual bridges between the disciplines by tackling complex international subjects through many points of entry.

Finally, thanks to the location of our campuses in the centre of major French cities, Sciences Po is able to attract the best teachers from universities and major research institutes and maintain very close ties with the top French and international professionals who contribute to its teaching activities.
