The primary mission of student services at Sciences Po is to support the academic success of pupils.
Students have access to 3 services throughout their schooling:
- Administrative services are an essential gateway for students from all of Sciences Po’s campuses: they provide administrative registration or re-registration, student cards, and social security affiliation, and collect tuition.
- Social assistance services help students in three main areas: housing, special needs, scholarships and financial aid. They can address specific student problems that might arise and can redirect students to other services if needed.
- Sciences Po Avenir helps students with internships, professional guidance and first jobs. It provides a link between Sciences Po students and the professional world.
- PhD students at Sciences Po receive additional services and support from the Graduate school and the Research centres to which they are affiliated.
The research centres
PhD students are fully integrated in Sciences Po’s research centres as “junior researchers”.
They participate in their centre’s activities and have access to a host of tools and services: workspaces, support from permanent staff, and financing for research activities (participation in conferences, field studies, publication assistance, logistical support to organise a seminar, etc.).
See the conditions for PhD student hosting on the research centres’ websites.
