Environment and International Relations

This research group and seminar on environmental issues exists since 2013. Since its creation, the seminar has hosted speakers from multiple disciplinary and thematic horizons. It has promoted research on global environmental governance, climate change, biodiversity, natural resource management, or risks and disasters in an International relations perspective. The seminars have allowed for discussion between different social sciences sharing an interest for the international, like political science, sociology, anthropology, economy, law, philosophy, political ecology, etc. Mostly in French, the seminar has welcomed English speaking sessions.

Finally, it has promoted PhD students by giving them a central role in the discussions during most sessions.

Carola Kloeck (assistant professor, Sciences Po-CERI), Adrien Estève (PhD student, Sciences Po-CERI), Lucile Maertens (Maître-assistante at UNIL, associate faculty at Sciences Po-CERI), Alice Baillat (researcher at IRIS), Kari de Pryck (PhD student, Sciences Po-CERI) and Leonardo Orlando (PhD student, Sciences Po-CERI) are the scientific advisors of this seminar.
