Partenariats

Sciences Po and the Department of Politics and International Studies (POLIS) at the University of Cambridge set up an academic exchange programme in 2014. With the signing, in Paris in November 2017, of the new CamPo research partnership between the two institutions we are delighted to be able to extend that exchange programme to include all departments and faculties within the School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Cambridge and all of Sciences Po’s research centres.

OxPo seeks to facilitate scholarly exchanges and collaborative projects between Sciences Po in Paris (sociology, history, political science and international relations) and the Departments of Sociology, Politics and International Relations, the Modern European History Research Centre and Social Policy and Intervention in Oxford. It sponsors joint projects, seminars and workshops, conferences and publications.  Information about events and exchanges can be found on the OxPo website.

Porté par le CNRS, l’Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, l’Université de Strasbourg et soutenu par 24 universités et grandes école, le groupement d’intérêt scientifique (GIS) Euro-Lab a organisé, le 29 janvier 2022, sa première journée de rencontre en présence de Clément Beaune, secrétaire d’État chargé des Affaires européennes. Le GIS Euro-Lab a pour vocation de contribuer au développement, à la visibilité, et à la diffusion de la recherche sur l’Union Européenne dans l’espace public des travaux réalisés au sein des universités et des centres de recherche en droit, en économie, en science politique ou en histoire. Il fédère depuis 2022 l’ensemble des universitaires en sciences humaines et sociales travaillant sur l’Union européenne.

AxPo − Thanks to funding from the AXA Chair in Market Sociology, Sciences Po launches a new research observatory in the fall of 2022, AxPo. It both builds on MaxPo’s* past achievements and innovates with a new research focus, a new role in the training of early-career researchers, and a new institutional setting.  

*MaxPo, co-funded for ten years from 2012-2022 by the Max Planck Society and Sciences Po, was an interdisciplinary research center combining economic sociology and political economy that was devoted to the study of instability in market societies; the internationalization of PhD students in France; and the development of Franco-German cooperation in social sciences.

Il existe en France 10 « Instituts Convergences », tous créés en 2016 et 2017 par le 2e Programme des Investissements d’avenir sur l’avis d’un jury international. 

Leur objectif ? Fédérer des efforts de recherche jusque-là dispersés, en mobilisant sur une question-clef environ 200 chercheurs de plusieurs institutions pour croiser les disciplines et bâtir une formation originale.

L’Institut Convergences Migrations (IC Migrations) est le seul institut de ce type qui associe sciences sociales, sciences humaines et sciences de la santé.

EUCOPAS, Erasmus plus is a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence consisting of the Jean Monnet Chair, Prof. Wessels, University of Cologne and the Jean Monnet Chair in European Union Law and Political Science at Sciences Po, Paris.

Created in 2002, Programme Alliance NY, Alliance is an innovative academic joint-venture between Columbia University and three major French institutions: École Polytechnique, Sciences Po, and Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

COST Actions are a flexible, fast, effective and efficient networking instrument for researchers, engineers and scholars to cooperate and coordinate nationally funded research activities. COST Actions allow European researchers to jointly develop their own ideas in any science and technology field.

The Academic Research Network on Agencification of EU Executive Governance (TARN) aims to promote multi- and interdisciplinary research about the agencification of EU executive governance and to encourage a dialogue between academia and practitioners. TARN is a research, information and agenda-setting network informing agency operation within the EU in a transnational setting. It brings together renowned and young academics and practitioners from various disciplines and policy areas and pools knowledge on research and legal provisions, policy documents and information on the practical operation of EU agencies.

CIVICA - l'Université européenne des sciences sociales réunit dix établissements d'enseignement supérieur européens de premier plan dans les domaines des sciences humaines et sociales, de la gestion des entreprises et des politiques publiques. Le projet CIVICA Research, coordonné par Sciences Po, a reçu un financement de 2 millions d'euros du programme Horizon 2020 pour la mise en œuvre d'activités scientifiques conjointes entre les établissements de CIVICA. L’un des atouts de CIVICA Research est de mettre en commun différentes approches européennes et les expertises de 13 000 chercheurs et chercheuses sur les grands défis auxquels l'Europe et le monde font face : l'Europe revisitée ; la démocratie au 21e siècle ; les crises écologiques et les sociétés en transition ; numérique et société.

CREATE is a 36 months research project (2015-2018) funded by the European Commission under Horizon2020 and is one of the first projects that addresses the task Tackling Urban Road Congestion, taking a long-term view of how this can be achieved, especially in cities experiencing rapid growth in car ownership and use.

The institutions of the European Union play an essential role in European integration by producing decisions and public policies, as well as ensuring their implementation within the Member States. However, EU citizens, and even scholars, are not fully aware of how EU institutions actually operate. 
In order to better understand how the core of this atypical political system functions, the Centre for European Studies and Comparative Politics at Sciences Po launched the Observatory of European Institutions (OIE) in 2006, with the support of the Centre for Socio-Political Data at Sciences Po (CDSP).

CondResp: Programme franco-allemand en Sciences humaines et sociales (FRAL) 2015. L'un des principes fondamentaux du gouvernement démocratique est que l'exécutif représente les souhaits des citoyens. Dans sa forme la plus simple, les gouvernements apprécient les souhaits des citoyens à partir des résultats électoraux et des problèmes exprimés publiquement et de répondre à ces exigences en adoptant des lois.

MORE: Multi-modal Optimisation for Road Space in Europe, is developing procedures for the comprehensive co-design of busy urban main road corridors feeding the European TEN-T road network. It aims to accommodate their current and future multi-modal and multi-functional requirements and to address severe problems such as congestion, sustainability, noise, air pollution, safety and security.

SOG PRO (ANR ORA) - Pourquoi certaines organisations administratives publiques sont-elles régulièrement créées avec succès, fréquemment réorganisées, fusionnées même supprimées alors que d’autres apparaissent apparemment « immortelles » et semblent plus puissantes que les élus et acteurs politiques qui décident formellement de leur création et qui les contrôlent ? Cette question est apparue particulièrement pertinente, depuis 30 ans, au sein des démocraties parlementaires européennes.

The Trans European Policy Studies Association (TEPSA) is the first transeuropean research network in the field of European affairs. It consists of leading research institutes in the field of European affairs throughout Europe, with an office in Brussels. TEPSA is an international non-profit association under Belgian law (AISBL) and was established in 1974. Ever since then it has steadily increased its membership in response to the enlargement rounds of the European Union. Today TEPSA consists of 41 member institutes and associate members located in 35 European countries.
