Your student card is also your library card.
Strictly personal, it is required to borrow materials.
Loans
Loans on your campus
- Direct access items: unlimited number of loans
Loan period : 15 days, renewable once for 10 days.
Renewal is done from patron account (under certain terms).
Items are not bookable.
During university holidays, a “holiday loan” system is organised.
Local Campus Loans (PCR)
You may borrow items from Sciences Po Library in Paris or request print copies of journal articles not available online, from the catalogue.
- sign in under your Patron account ;
- search for the book and open the record ;
- search for the journal title, open the record, and select the issue
- click Request, select your campus and click on Send request
PCR rights and loan period :
Unlimited number of loans

- Direct access items : 15 days, renewable for 10 days

- 2 DVD and 2 CD for 15 days

Loan and return transactions take place at the loan desk on the library's ground floor, Saint-Guillaume Library.
Delivery times vary according to the storage location.
To borrow and return items from direct access rooms, use the self-service checkout machines.

Terms
You can't renew if:
- another user has placed a hold on the document
- the document is already overdue
- there is at least one other overdue item on your account
- your borrowing privileges are suspended
- you have already reached your maximum loan duration
- the document is a DVD or CD
- your library account is blocked
- your library card has expired
Patron account
Use your Sciences Po ID (firstname.lastname) and password to login your patron account and view your current loans.
From a public computer, don't forget to logout
- Click on "Logout"
- Exit all windows of your web browser
Forgot your password ? You can reset it by yourself.
Late returns
When materials are returned late, borrowing privileges are suspended for a period equal to the number of days overdue. Users undertake to replace or reimburse lost or damaged materials.
Electronic resources
You can access library's digital resources from Sciences Po campus and remote access.
You had to use your Sciences Po email ID (firstname.lastname@sciencespo.fr) and password to login.
Your login and password are strictly personal : they must never be disclosed.
